KCN HOG Chapter meeting minutes
Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Jack Twibell called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

Jack informed everyone Worth was filming a commercial on Thursday, March 4th at 6:00 p.m. He invited everyone to show up to be an extra.

Jack welcomed all new members and first meeting attendee’s – photo’s to be taken after the meeting. (sorry was not able to capture new member names … will have to work on that)

Virginia, our patch lady, will be here on Saturday to sew on your chapter patches free of charge.

New Member Officer has been available every Saturday and is doing an excellent job talking about the HOG chapter to new bike owners or those not familiar with HOG.

Membership – Suzie Honeycutt – said we have 207 members plus 7 additional from today.

Door prizes awarded to Lisa Brott and John Jones

HOG Life Insurance available to all HOG members. Amount is $2,000 and it’s free.

Anne Saults – Safety Officer – mentioned the safety tips they put out on the website. She announced the Garage Party on Wednesday, March 24th for new ladies who are interested in riding or learning more about bikes in general. Also welcomes any current skilled lady riders to show up and help answer questions and/or be resources. Skilled Rider Course’ to begin on Saturday, April 17th.

Activities Officer / Anne – handed out KCN ride calendars

Snake Saturday Parade – meet at Burger King on Armour Rd. in NKC at 8:30 a.m. Looking for both riders and walkers.

Tuesday, March 30th Dinner Drive/ride to Corner Café in Liberty, MO.
Patch Bike Night ride – April 25 – start at new store and leave mid morning. Jack is still waiting on confirmation of sponsored bike nights. So far we will ride to Hooters, Castaway’s and possibly the Power & Light District. More information will follow in the newsletter or via e-mail.

Mary Loveall, Asst. Dir. Presented the Ride Level chart to help those who are not as familiar with group riding.

Mary also spoke about the Worth sponsored ride for North Care Hospice House on Saturday, May 8th. The ride starts at On the Rocks in Smithville and will wind through back roads in the Northland.
Visit their website www.northcarehospice.org for more information. Outlaw Jim and The Whiskey Benders will perform at 4:00 p.m. at On the Rocks.>br>

Jack announced that Worth HD is going to submit a proposal for the Missouri State HOG Rally to be held in Kansas City, MO in 2011. With the adjoining land by the new dealership there should be plenty of space for vendors, activities, parking, etc. Jack and Mary Loveall will attend the State Rally meeting in Columbia, MO.

Thunder Run on June 12th. Van Chevrolet has committed to donating a Camaro and Worth is donating a Harley as grand prizes. Worth is asking that all members sell raffle tickets for both the bike and car. There will be 10 people who will be drawn for the chance to win the bike and 10 drawn for the car. The presentation will be held at the P&L District.

Shane Kesterson (Head Road Captain) recapped some of the events/rides for this next month.

Jack gave an update on the construction for the new dealership.

March 20th ride to the Vietnam Wall and Chicken Annie’s. Jim Blessington is leading. (This ride has been cancelled since the meeting).
